Summer Driver Education 2022

You made it! It’s summer vacation time. No more getting up early to go to school and spend most of the day in classes only to have to spend most of the rest of the day doing homework and studying. You’re finally free for a whole three months… or are you?… (dun dun dun!!!)

Hear me out! If you start your driver education at the beginning of summer break, you can finish before school starts in the fall. And it’s actually not even that long. The in-class time for Segment 1 is only a couple hours per session and there’s only 12 sessions including the final day, which is just a written test. You’ll also need 40 hours of daytime driving and 10 hours of nighttime driving; it’ll be over before you know it.

Yup, just 24 classroom hours and 50 driving hours logged. Collectively, that’s just 3 days and 2 hours out of your entire summer vacation for Segment 1! And Segment 2 is way shorter with only 3 sessions! Oh, and added bonus: you can do it virtually so you don’t even have to spend time going to and from your driver ed classes.

Taking driver education during summer vacation is great, because there’s none of the stress and mental distraction that can come with the school year to preoccupy you. It’s a great time to really focus on learning and developing the crucial skill of driving. Plus, you still have plenty of time to enjoy your time off while learning something that will give you even more freedom!
